Forest Interactive Partners with Evina to Fight Fraud and Improve Customer Experience

KUALA LUMPUR — Forest Interactive, a developer of scalable mobile platforms, announces its partnership with Paris-based global cybersecurity firm, Evina, to detect and prevent fraudulent traffic, a cybersecurity threat exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative was called for after a significant increase in daily online traffic fraud to the company’s digital marketing campaigns in country across Asia and Europe.

“While proper restrictions have been rolled out as a guideline for affiliate marketing partners, the rising trend of digitization has intensified fraud attempts and suspicious traffic, which have an impact on the long-term sustainability of our digital campaigns,” said Khedir Yaakub, Regional Head of Marketing & Business Development at Forest Interactive.

Prior to this anti-fraud initiative, Forest Interactive attempted several restrictions such as no clickjacking, no iFrame, and no auto subscribe, yet the campaigns still acquired fake, non-human traffic.

Evina DCBprotect provides a real-time dashboard to identify sources of fraudulent traffic.

“Our collaboration with Evina is proof of our continued commitment to ensure our services are fraud-free, thus improving our customer experience and end-to-end operations,” explained Khedir, who oversees Forest Interactive’s operations in Thailand, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Nigeria. “Evina’s anti-fraud solutions would be able to detect fraud at a rate of 99.7%, with the lowest false-positive rate in the market at 0.2%. By implementing this solution into our ecosystem, we would be able to recognize authentic sources and also reduce the fraud rate percentage from a tailored dashboard, allowing us to protect our services from being promoted illegally and to more accurately optimize our campaigns.”
