Forest Interactive Partners with Algeria’s Largest Mobile Network; Sees Dramatic Mobile Internet Growth in the Next Years

DUBAI: Forest Interactive UAE signs a deal with leading Algerian mobile operator Djezzy, gaining access to the local 65% market share and extending top-north gaming service to 90% of the country’s population.  

Launched by Forest Interactive, the all-in-one content subscription product Gamespace houses more than 300 games, providing gamers with exceptional convenience and cross-platform compatibility. Fans of browser-based games may play on a variety of platforms, including mobile and desktop computers, either through smart devices or online browsers. 

On their mobile phones, players may access seven different genres, including arcade, IQ, shooter, leisure, physics, riddles, and sports, for a reasonable membership price. Daily and weekly subscription is available, at 25 DZD (Algerian Dinar) and 100 DZD respectively.  

“Algeria is a fertile and high-volume market for subscriptions and mobile games revenue,” said Mahwish Ehsan, Country Manager at Forest Interactive UAE.  “According to the Statista Research Department, there is an estimated 42.7 million mobile internet subscribers in Algeria in the first quarter of 2022.  We see Gamespace ride the upsurge for mobile content demand and fill in as a time killer for all types of gamers, as the audience continues hyper-personalizing their searches and game experiences.” 

The African country recorded that the great majority of its mobile internet subscribers, 36 million customers, have 4G connections, with 9.3 in 3G. Algeria’s mobile internet penetration rate has increased dramatically since 2010, a trend projected to continue in the next years. This year, the country launched 5G mobile initiatives, to meet the growing customer demand for broadband connectivity.
