Dedicated to nurturing the next generation of digital talents, the event took place from October 6-8, 2023, at the vibrant Quill City Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
The #mydigitalmaker Fair drew over 20,000 students and educators. Attendees had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in multiple digital activities, competitive challenges, knowledge-sharing forums, and enriching workshops. In addition, educators had access to a dedicated zone, known as the Duta Counsellors Program (DCP), which targeted secondary school career counsellors. This program spanned two informative days, offering comprehensive sessions on career mapping, psychological assessments, best practices shared by school and university counselors, invaluable insights into digital tech careers, and the promotion of digital citizenship.
Forest Interactive was represented by Mohammad Aizzat Sulaiman, Manager, IT Infrastructure & Security, teaching relevant industry concepts in a session titled “Navigating the Digital Frontier: Exploring Career Opportunities in Cybersecurity,” for the benefit of the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Additionally, Ajay Gunasekaran, Team Lead – UI/UX Design, delved into the intriguing topic of “Exploring the Growing UI UX Job Market.” His presentation was a revelation for aspiring professionals looking to make their mark in this flourishing sector. “The user experience and user interface industry are more than just designing interfaces; it’s about crafting experiences that make people’s lives better. The #mydigitalmaker Fair was an excellent stage to highlight the exciting journey that awaits those venturing into this field.”
According to LinkedIn, global talent shortages have reached a 16-year high, as 75% of employers can’t find the talent they need with the right blend of technical and soft skills.
