MWC Barcelona 2022 Wrap-Up: Forest Interactive and elfo Played Host to Attendees Witnessing the Evolution of the Mobile Industry

KUALA LUMPUR: Forest Interactive and elfo played host to attendees at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2022, the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event, from February 28 to March 3, 2022. 

The recent exhibition saw a shift in future technology, with more than 61,000 attendees from almost 200 countries and territories convening in-person to discuss the potential of the metaverse, the convergence of mobile, and transforming vertical industries.

Amplifying the rise of the mobile industry, the event comprised themes pertaining to changes in future technology such as the latest advancements of 5G, networking technology, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence, metaverse, and what the future holds for the virtual world. 

“While the tech announcements took center stage for most of the event, there was an underlying theme of sustainability that could not be missed,” continued Johary. “Several companies made sustainability one of their key messages for the week, speaking on how their technologies will enable a greener future. Continuing the discussion of vertical collaboration and startup innovation, this year’s MWC Barcelona sees a much broader conversation, with more than 160 delegations from countries and international institutions alongside policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and the international development community.
