JAKARTA — Forest Interactive Indonesia joins forces with smartfren to support the Indonesian government combat COVID-19 by launching “Solusi Sehat”, a value-added service (VAS) program.
The program features informative videos on health, wellness, and ways to deal with a pandemic, exclusively available for smartfren subscribers from Jan 27, 2021.
Megan Faustine, Assistant Manager of Marketing and Business Development at Forest Interactive Indonesia, said the partnership is an effort to raise awareness towards the government’s initiatives in mitigating the risk of the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia through informative and trusted content.
“Solusi Sehat not only urges Indonesians to join hands in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic but also provides a practical solution to prevent the spread of misinformation about COVID-19 gained from untrusted sources,” said Megan.
Apart from the effort to flatten the curve in Indonesia, the government is also trying to avert fake news revolving around the topics of COVID-19. The Ministry of Communication and Informatics reportedly has identified 1,402 fake news related to COVID-19 from Jan 23, 2020, to Feb 1, 2021.
“One of the educational videos available on Solusi Sehat is the right actions to take after experiencing the symptoms of COVID-19. This information comes from a credible source and conveyed by experienced doctors in a simple manner that is easily understood, aiming to avoid unnecessary panic,” added Megan.
Meanwhile, Arfiyansyah, Senior Manager of VAS Division at smartfren, believed that Solusi Sehat is beneficial to the community. According to him, the information provided by Solusi Sehat adds value to smartfren subscribers.
“The partnership with Forest Interactive Indonesia is a testament to our commitment in supporting the government in combating COVID-19 fake news pandemic by providing our subscribers information and education from trusted sources. We hope to help enlighten Indonesians and ward off false information that has been circulating in the community through Solusi Sehat,” concluded Arfiyansyah.
Subscribers can enjoy the content from Solusi Sehat by sending an SMS REG SEHAT to 92325. Additionally, the content is also accessible via yukmobi.com by selecting the Solusi Sehat menu. Subscribers will be charged a subscription fee of Rp.2200 per SMS and it will be sent every other day for 120 days.
