One of the trends to keep in surveillance for 2021 is the adoption of the new 5G network.
As of the 4th quarter of 2020, there are 142 mobile operators launched the network across 57 countries. It’s forecasted that to reach 45% of the population, there will be a spending of approximately $890 billion in CapEx worldwide.
With 5G being more tangible rather than a concept, the intent to upgrade to 5G is higher in 2020 than in 2019. One of the growth drivers for 5G will be Apple’s new iPhone 12, especially for North America and gamers that rely on low latency and high speed for a ‘next-level’ gaming experience.
Though so, until today, consumer survey takers still look for the basics on handsets like battery life, durability, camera quality, and then 5G connectivity ranks 4th out of 6 with 24% voting for it.
