JAKARTA — Wallet Codes Indonesia, a gaming wallet and digital voucher platform developed by Forest Interactive, co-sponsors JinXPro Cup’s first season of Point Blank (PB), a friendly tournament held on Dec 26 last year.
The inaugural tournament was organized by JinXPro, and supported by Wallet Codes Indonesia and two other co-sponsors, Zepetto Interactive Indonesia and Sades Indonesia.
Megan Faustine, Assistant Manager of Marketing & Business Development at Forest Interactive, said: “We are thrilled to see the participation of these legendary Point Blank clans from Indonesia. Despite the fierce fight between the players, they are still able to maintain mutual respect and uphold sportsmanship, recalling the memory of the glory days of PC games ten years ago.”
Apart from sponsorships, Wallet Codes Indonesia has been supporting the growth and development of the esports community in the country through partnerships with associations and SMEs in the industry. In July 2020, Wallet Codes Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indonesian Video Games Association (AVGI) in an effort to support the sustainability of SMEs during the crisis, especially esports Internet cafés.
“As one of the key industry players, Wallet Codes will continue committed to supporting the esports ecosystem in the country, including upskilling our esports talents as a preparation for competitions in a bigger arena,” added Megan.
JinXPro Cup’s first season of Point Blank was livestreamed on Wallet Codes YouTube channel.
A total of 20 PB legend clans whittled down the competition to the top players with PPMK and Revolt 461 leading in the qualifying rounds. After winning the first three qualifying rounds, PPMK had to first accept its defeat to Revolt 461 in the fourth round and moved down to the lower bracket while Revolt 416 managed to retain its position in the upper bracket.
The intense returned when the two teams met again in the grand final stage where PPMK claimed the victory, defeating Revolt 416 with a score of 2-0. Meanwhile, the host clan, JinXpro Maximum, concluded as the second runner-up after losing to Revolt 416 in the semi-final.
Two of the three casters for the tournament, Nessa Miko and Rere Bredel.
The tournament was also brought to life by three well-known Indonesian casters, namely Rere Bredel, Nessa Miko, and Bang Nay. To rewatch the event livestream, visit Wallet Codes YouTube channel.
