Wallet Codes Cambodia Adds ABA PayWay to Its Existing Payment Options

ABA’s PayWay will enable transactions through ABA PAY, credit and debit cards, which include Visa, Mastercard, and UnionPay International.

PHNOM PENH: Wallet Codes Cambodia, a one-stop portal for digital goods from the world’s popular online entertainment and stores, expands its payment options for Wallet Codes users in Cambodia through the integration with PayWay.

PayWay is an advanced online payment gateway powered by ABA Bank that enables businesses to accept online payments instantly and hassle-free. The new payment gateway integration provides an opportunity for Wallet Codes users to conveniently purchase gaming vouchers and digital gift cards of their choice from the portal. As part of the partnership deal, PayWay will enable payments through ABA PAY, credit and debit cards, which include Visa, Mastercard, and UnionPay International.

Soknang To, Country Manager at Forest Interactive Cambodia, said: “Our goal at Wallet Codes has always been to provide an optimized user experience for seamless purchasing process. Thanks to this new integration, Wallet Codes users can now make their payments through any gateways of their choice and enjoy faster checkouts.”

Meanwhile, Zokhir Rasulov, Chief Digital Officer at ABA Bank, noted: “As the leading bank in digital finances, we are excited to enable the acceptance of payments with ABA PAY, credit and debit cards on Wallet Codes Cambodia. We believe such initiatives bring great value to Cambodians by opening up more opportunities for financial inclusion across the country and, ultimately, to make their financial lives more convenient, especially during the pandemic.”

Wallet Codes, a platform developed by Forest Interactive, extended its digital offerings to Cambodia in November last year to boost digital financial inclusion, especially among gamers in the country. With the increase in gameplay time and consumption of online streaming content due to the pandemic restriction measures, Wallet Codes comes in handy for many Cambodians who want to have access to premium services but do not own a credit card.

“We understand the challenges faced by some underserved segments in Cambodia in making purchases online from a portal with limited payment options,” explained To. “As of today, Wallet Codes Cambodia has a total of seven local payment options available on the portal, including the latest added ABA PAY and Visa, Mastercard, and UnionPay debit and credit cards.”

Previously, ABA Bank, the Kingdom’s leading private financial institution, onboarded Forest Interactive as its digital content partner for the award-winning mobile banking app, ABA Mobile. The partnership allows ABA Mobile users to pay seamlessly for a variety of world’s popular digital vouchers, including premium services like Amazon, Google Play Store, iTunes Store, Netflix, Spotify, Steam, Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation Network, Mobile Legends Diamonds, PUBG UC Mobile, Garena Shell, Rules of Survival, Roblox, and many more.
