PHILIPPINES: Forest Interactive Philippine talents, Sheena Pimentel, Head of Corporate PR, and Arvee Gomez, Media Relations Executive, joined their respective alma maters, Bukidnon State University and the University of Santo Tomas, to share empowering career and internship advice to over 300 Filipino youths combined.
The theme of the events touched on skills development for university students as they map out internship placements and career paths.
As an alumna, Sheena Pimentel was chosen as a speaker at Bukidnon State University Secondary School Laboratory (SSL)’s ‘Annual Guidance Program: Navigating Career Choices and Opportunities in the New Normal’, held last March 30. The three-day event comprised of talks guiding Grade 10, 11, and 12 students from planning track and strand for Senior High School, to deciding curriculum paths including Higher Education, employment, entrepreneurship, and skills development. Sheena shared the experiences building her career journey and milestones as the Head of Corporate PR at Forest Interactive.

Arvee Gomez, an alumna of University of Santo Tomas joined ‘Transcend 2022: Forward & Onward’ last April 8. Organized by the UST-Communication Arts Student Association (CASA), Transcend is a three-day webinar series featuring speakers in the field of communications with the aim to inspire undergraduates with their presence and industry experience.
Arvee represented Forest Interactive and Tracy Manlangit of PayRemit served as the two culminating resource persons on the last day, sharing their career journeys, tips on landing job interviews and internships, as well as best practices while working in their current companies.
Arvee also expounded on the importance of employee empowerment to deliver the best performance in the workplace.
