#ForestCelebrates: What Happens When Women #ChooseToChallenge

Women of the world want and deserve an equitable world and a sustainable future. First celebrated on March 8, 1911, International Women’s Day (IWD) calls for women worldwide to celebrate their achievements, raise awareness for accelerated gender parity, and stand up against social stereotypes and violence.

Themed ChooseToChallenge, this year’s IWD urges everyone from every corner of the world to advocate for a challenged world, to forge a gender-equal world. At Forest Interactive, we have always believed that gender equality is a basic human right and it’s essential that we uphold inclusivity in the workplace by treating all talents fairly at work, regardless of gender. This includes empowering women to excel in decision-making roles and in high-level corporate leadership

In the spirit of IWD 2021, a few of our female talents shared their stories of strength, resilience, and inspiration in a moving videowhile a virtual AMA (Ask MAnything) organized by the Corporate PR department featured three female talents that fielded questions on gender equality, fighting biases, and achievements in the workplace.

Everyone Has A Story to Tell.

Words of Wisdom

What would you tell your younger self?”

In a series of Instagram Stories, women of Forest from all over the world share the key piece of advice they would impart to their younger selves, having lived the life they’ve had.

Women of Inspiration

Internally, we also encouraged write-ins from talents across Forest and its related companies to share the most memorable anecdotes they have of the woman who inspired them the most.

These stories were compiled and sent directly to the inbox of all talents on the day of IWD 2021, to spark pleasant memories and prompt further conversations.

Ask Us Anything!

The celebration culminated in a panel session with three women, who shared their experiences and answered questions sent in by the audience via an internal channel.

IWD is not just a celebration, it’s a call to action to urge for change. Although progress has been made, women and girls are still struggling to achieve a level playing field in many parts of the world. Now more than ever, it’s important to bridge the persistent gap in access to opportunities among women and empower women socially, economically, and politically, to create a ripple effect that benefits everyone.

Together, we can make this world a better place.

Celebrate women’s achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.

#ChooseToChallenge for change.
